It’s a crazy time at Give Simple.
We are back from New York Market, and it’s a mad rush to get all the new products for Spring 2008 on to the website, plus sent to all of our magazine contacts for editorial features.
Give Simple had a fantastic January, due in part to having three great products in magazine editorial features.
We have the very first ever Give Simple product, PotLuck Studio’s Flirt Ruffle Cake Stands, in the Spring/Summer issue of The Knot. These cake stands are so versatile and pretty. You can use them individually or stacked. The set of three was the first item I ever bought from Give Simple. These cake stands are also the reason Give Simple exists at all. Founder Kendra Wright bought some Flirt Ruffle in a boutique, and could not find more to buy on line, so she started Give Simple!
We also have French Bull mixing bowls in the same issue of The Knot (I hear these bowls will be on the April “O” list, too, great magazines often think alike!)
In the 2/12 issue of Woman’s Day, our Murval Red Quilted Patent tote with chain handles is featured in the Valentine’s Day Gift Guide.
We also have Sally Russell hand made ice cream bowls in the March issue of Romantic Homes, which is on newsstands now.
Two of our Valentine’s Day jewelry items, the Claire Heart Domino necklace, and the Metalsgirl Love Bracelet are featured in Skirt Magazine Houston edition, too.
As great as we think our products are, it is really wonderful to see them selected for national and local publications. It brings us new customers, and it makes us so happy for our artists and suppliers, too.

Murval is the first of our existing lines to have all of their new Spring 2008 styles on Give Simple. Our Spring Pre-Sale event starts Monday, where we show an extensive selection of great NEW Murval bags, and our customers vote to let us know what they like, and get a 10% discount on brand new items in the process. Check out the new Murval styles now, and check back for many new additions in other categories in the next few weeks.

Be happy, Give Simple!

New year, new products! Plus the opportunity for Give Simple to form partnerships with some VERY cool women! It's market season, so expect lots of new finds in the next few weeks!
First up, Allison Dayton Jewelry. Give Simple needed some COLOR in the Jewels department. One day, while checking out a website sent to me by a friend, I saw a very intriguing photo. Hands in the Namaste position loaded up with colorful and interesting bracelets. So I followed the link to Allison’s website, and emailed her. I love the way she has combined her two great loves, jewelry and travel into the design of her very interesting life. And the jewelry is perfect for Give Simple: handmade, original, and delivers the pop of color I was longing for. Hurray!! The first few days of the launch confirm that my instincts are good, customers seem to be gravitating to the pieces I tagged as the future best sellers.
Monday, we launch our new spa line, Fraiche (say “fresh”). I have wanted to shop this line for a while, based on strong word of mouth buzz, and since they are based near Dallas, we were able to meet up at that market. Give Simple will launch Fraiche with a Gift with Purchase for Valentine’s Day with our best selling Pine Cone Hill robes, and continue to sample this line to our best customers. Fraiche Luxurious Handmade Soaps and fun Bath Swizzles could turn anyone in to a bath addict. Even for speedy shower girls like me, the soap works great at keeping my sensitive and dry skin soft and comfy. The ingredients are what make the difference. Organic goat’s milk from one special farm where happy goats are fed a natural diet. Organic honey wild harvested at a private farm. Organic olive oil from Spain and Italy. Coconut oil from a special grove in the Philippines. On and on, the best ingedients from around the world go into these special products made in very small batches, with love and by hand.
Fraiche was created by another very cool woman, Johnan Ratliff. Fraiche grew out of a simple love of beauty, a passion for art, and a desire to create a luxurious escape from the worries and cares of the day. Johnan raises and shows national award winning quarter horses. While at a horseshow, she met a woman selling hand crafted goat’s milk soap. After one use, the love affair that evolved into the Fraiche brand began. Johnan directed her many talents to create the beautiful, handmade and luxurious Fraiche line.
We're in New York Market now, seeing new products from our favorite partners, and scouting new products too, to make sure we always provide the best possible gifts. Stay tuned for more great new stuff (plus two more very cool women we met at Dallas market!)
